American Whitewater helped negotiate recreational flows on the North Fork Mokelumne River during the relicensing of Pacific Gas and Electric's hydropower project on the North Fork Mokelumne River. The resulting hydropower license requires recreational releases on Tiger Creek annually between two weekends prior to Memorial Day weekend and June 15th. Each year the minimum level of recreational flows are based upon Water Year Type which is determined on the predicted unimpaired inflow to Pardee Reservoir and spring forecasting information provided by PG"&"E and the California Department of Water Resources snowpack forecasts. In Wet and Above Normal water years streamflows must be at least 900 cfs and in Below Normal, Dry, and Critically Dry water years streamflows must be at least 700 cfs.
