Colorado River Basin Supply Study

List ProjectsView Project

American Whitewater in partnership with Hydros Consulting, is working to develop a tool that can be incorporated in the Bureau of Reclamation’s Colorado River Basin Study that can measure impact on whitewater activity in the future. This tool will indicate the change in the number of boatable days that can be expected under different flow scenarios that are articulated by Colorado River Simulation System (CRSS) data within the Colorado River Basin Study. American Whitewater is representing conservation-minded paddlers in direct interactions with the Bureau of Reclamation to demonstrate the accuracy and value of this tool and advocate for its incorporation into the Colorado River Basin Study.
